On October 4th 2024 Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada held its second competition of the academic year, the infamous English Impromptu competition. This year the competition was judged by respected Murabbi Furhan Qureshi Sahib, professor Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada, respected Murrabi Sadiq Ahmad Sahib and Murabbi Mansoor Azim Sahib.
As usual the competition commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Arsalan Ahmad Sahib. Then, each of the twelve participants, three per group, were told the order that they would be going in and the rubric for marking. They each had three minutes to prepare a topic and then three minutes to do the speech.
The results of the competition are as follows: in first place was Faaran Muhammad Aladdin (Shuja’at), in second place, Hisham Malik (Amanat), and in third place was Munassar Alam (Amanat). In the end, the gathering was concluded by silent prayer led by Murrabi Sadiq Ahmad sahib.
