By the grace of Allah, Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada held their Jalsa Seerat un Nabi ﷺ on September 21, 2024. The gathering was chaired by respected Professor Furhan Hamza Qureshi Sahib. The Holy Qur’an was recited by Hisham Malik Sahib, which consisted of the last three verses of Surah Fath.
The first speech was delivered in Urdu by Syed Sadaqat Sahib on “The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) as the greatest missionary.” Some beautiful qualities of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ were mentioned such as his mercy and soft spoken nature. Shortly after, an Arabic Qaseeda was recited by Muran Khattab Sahib.
The second speech was delivered in English by Tyab Yacoob Sahib on the topic of Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) “The Ultimate Perseverant.” He elaborated upon how Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ had the most steadfastness and perseverance. He brought to light the various obstacles he faced, such as orphanage, poverty, and various hostilities he faced both in Makkah, and Madinah.
The concluding speech was given by respected Furhan Qureshi Sahib, who recited Chapter 33:57 and drew our attention towards Durood Sharif and its benefits. Shortly after, he led the students in silent prayer, thereby concluding the session.
