By the Grace of Allah, on October 24th, 2026, Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada had the honour of hosting Dr. Syed Naeem Ahmed Sahib. He has a PhD in Marine Sciences and formerly taught as a Professor of Earth Sciences and Oceanography at Nusrat Jahan College Rabwah and Abdul Salam School of Sciences.
Dr. Syed Naeem Sahib spoke about various types of tides/waves, giving an in-depth analysis on how different elements such as wind and the gravitational pull of the sun and the moon can all result in fluctuations which cause a phenomenon of high and low tides. He then explained how these variables combined together could possibly create something similar to the splitting of the sea like that which occurred during the time of Hazrat Musa (as).
In the end, a Question-and-Answer session was held where students could ask questions to Doctor Sahib.
