By the grace of Allah, Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada held its annual Kasoti competition on January 16th, 2025. Respected Najeebullah Ayyaz Sahib was the guest judge for this event.
In the Kasoti competition, students guess the identity of a historical personality/location by asking yes/no questions. The group which guesses the personality/location correctly while asking the fewest questions wins the competition.
The program began with recitation from the Holy Quran by Faras Ahmed and introductory remarks by Faaran Muhammad Sahib. Each group was allowed to send two groups of two marking a total of sixteen participants.
A raffle of places/people was prepared beforehand, the contestants would pick a number and the corresponding place/person would then have to be guessed. The competition was split into two rounds. The four groups which guessed correctly with the least number of questions advanced to the second round.
In the end, the two Rafaqat groups won first and second whilst Shuja’at won third place. The program then concluded with silent prayer.
