On November 22nd, 2024, Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada held its annual Qaseedah Quiz competition. The program started with Tilawat by Basil Buttar Sahib and introductory remarks by Asad Ali Malik Sahib. The judge for this competition was respected Musleh Shanboor Sahib, professor Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada.
Each group was allowed to send four representatives marking a total of sixteen participants. There were seven different rounds in which a variety of questions were asked, students were given a portion, a number, or a single word, etc. of a randomized couplet and were asked to recite the whole of the couplet. After all seven rounds, not a single group had gotten a question wrong due to which there was an extra round. A single contestant per group was chosen at random and asked to answer the question without any help from their teammates.
In the end, the positions were as follows, Amanat group won first place, with Shuja’at in second, followed by Dianat in third. The program concluded with silent prayers.
